PROGRAMME OF SPECIAL EVENTS MARCH 2012 TO MARCH 2013
The club meets every Thursday at 7.25 for 7.30 at Mountnessing Village Hall – apart from any Thursday in December between Christmas and New Year, when it will be closed. In most weeks - other than those listed below as ‘Special Events’- we run an ‘Ordinary Club Night’. See 'About the club' for more details.SPECIAL EVENTS
The timetable of Special Events listed below represents our intentions as at the time of publication (February 24th 2012). They are subject to change if circumstances dictate. The programme is nearly identical to that for 2011/12. The main differences are:- TEAMS OF FOUR events - these will be held monthly from April to September.
- SIMULTANEOUS PAIRS events - we have dropped the Children in Need date because our feeling is that players have the opportunity to play in other heats at other local clubs earlier in the week. We have added in a NEW (for us) 'Sim Pairs' in February instead. Note that there will be BIG CHANGES to the way that these events are managed from April 2012: from that date the EBU will take over organisation of the previous 'Bridge Great Britain' and EBU events, though ECATS will continue to manage the others
- CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - these events will no longer be 'doubled up' with local heats of Simultaneous Pairs Events, so thaere has been some minor rescheduling.
We do hope that you will enjoy not only these special events, but also our 'ordinary club nights' in the intervening weeks. All these events are open to non-members, though special considerations apply to the Christmas Party for non-members - see the membership page for details.
