The club meets every Thursday at 7.25 for 7.30 at Mountnessing Village Hall – apart from any Thursday in December between Christmas and New Year, when it will be closed.  In most weeks - other than those listed below as ‘Special Events’- we run an ‘Ordinary Club Night’.  See 'About the club' for more details.

SPECIAL EVENTS   

The timetable of Special Events listed below represents our intentions as at the time of publication (February 6th 2010).  They are subject to change if circumstances dictate.

The programme is near identical to that for 2009/10.  The differences are:

• We have reintroduced the Children in Need Simultaneous pairs Event in November, though to avoid 'fixture congestion' we have 'doubled up' with the Club's Windmill Trophy - The Autumn Pairs Championship.  

• Recognising that August is not the best time to hold a major championship event - with rival attractions including the Brighton Congress, the Bank Holiday, and the holiday season - we have brought forward the Summer Trophy to July, and it will be combined with the Kidney Research Simultaneous Pairs.

Both the above events will be held on similar lines to the Mary Rogers Trophy / WBF Simultaneous pairs event that was held in January 2010

• We have programmed in Teams of Four events for the third Thursday in each alternate month, starting in March 2010, except in November, when it will be held on the 4th Thursday to avoid clashing with Children in Need / Windmill Trophy.  Table Money for Teams of Four will be the same as for ordinary club nights.  We do ask, however, that you 'enter' your team in advance to help on-the-night organisation.

We do hope that you will enjoy not only these special events, but also our 'ordinary club nights' in the intervening weeks.  All these events are open to non-members, though special considerations apply to the Christmas Party for non-members.
